PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Procurement Coordinator is a part-time position in Bay Head, NJ, that supports the Principal Designer and Designer/Project Manager in taking projects from start to finish. They manage the purchasing, execution and installation phase of the design process. They also will work with the Junior Designer to manage retail operations at Prim Studio in Bay Head. There is ample opportunity for growth and development at Prim Designs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be the point-person for the team for all procurement questions, receiving questions, office management, and scheduling
Procurement: Track products from purchasing to delivery. Execute damage claims. Receive product status updates from vendors. Secure quotes from vendors for Project Manager. Confirm pricing in project management software. Help Principal Designer create sales goals to meet vendor minimums and distribute information to the team.
Receiving: Communicate with receiving companies. Manage receiving spreadsheets. Schedule deliveries by coordinating with the receiver and Project Manager. Work with receivers to create receiving estimates to propose to clients at the beginning of the design process. Track and review that the receiving costs for each project are staying on budget.
Installations: Occasionally assist in furniture deliveries and installations.
Inventory: Help Junior Designer manage inventory on Studio Designer and Square. Help manage sales for guests at events.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in Google Apps. Prefer experience in Studio Designer (or other procurement systems), Square.
Strongly prefer procurement or purchasing experience
Must have a passion for organization, staying on schedule, and efficiency
Able to communicate professionally over the phone and email with receivers, vendors, and clients
Have a positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset
Be a proactive and independent worker, seeking to resolve issues on their own as best they can
Have a strong attention to detail and high standards for good quality work
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to organize tasks according to priority
Be physically able to perform various installation project requirements such as lifting, standing for long periods, using a ladder, installing small artwork, styling and other physical duties
Be able to work in person at our studio in Bay Head. Prefer if the candidate has their own car to occasionally help with site visits and deliveries. Must have their own laptop.
